Gov. Bob McDonnell said Tuesday that he doesn’t support Virginia printing its own currency, an idea that Del. Bob Marshall, R-Prince William, wants the state to look at in case the Federal Reserve System breaks down. It’s the federal government's job, not the state's, to print money, McDonnell said on his monthly call-in show on WNIS Norfolk, adding that talk of such proposals like Marshall's probably result from public concern about runaway levels of federal spending and debt.
