An accident at a construction site in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood this morning sent four workers to the hospital, three with serious injuries, a fire battalion chief said. The accident was reported at about 8 a.m. at a six-story building under construction at 19th and Illinois streets. San Francisco fire Battalion Chief Charles Crane said workers were pouring concrete when three men working on the sixth floor fell three stories into the drying concrete.

A seagull caused a power outage that affected about 500 PG&E customers in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood this morning. PG&E spokesman Joe Molica said the seagull sparked the outage shortly after 8 a.m. at 24th and Illinois streets."A bird made contact with two of our power lines at the same time," he said. One wire fell to the street, and crews responded to make repairs.

A woman was shot and injured in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to a fire dispatcher.Ambulances responded to reports of a shooting at 5001 Third St. at about 2:35 p.m., the dispatcher said.The woman was apparently walking into a store near Quesada Avenue and Third Street when she got caught in the crossfire of a suspect who was allegedly shooting at someone else, San Francisco police Officer Eric Chiang said.
