A vote to place a moratorium on marijuana dispensaries in Daly City has been postponed.
City Councilman Sal Torres was unable to attend Monday’s meeting due to an illness, and because a vote of four of the five members was needed, the measure was pushed back until March 22.

Police gave an updated description Wednesday afternoon of a man suspected of shooting 22-year-old Fairfield City Councilman Matt Garcia on Monday night.
At a news conference at City Hall, police Lt. Bob Bunting described the suspect as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build, Bunting said.
