A thief in Belmont struck two electronics stores within minutes Monday afternoon, in each case asking a clerk to see a tablet computer before fleeing with the device in a getaway minivan.
The robberies at the RadioShack at 870 Ralston Ave. and the GameStop at 1200 El Camino Real occurred at about 3 p.m., according to Belmont police. At least three suspects were seen in the fleeing vehicle.

Three teenage girls robbed a 27-year-old woman of her cellphone Friday night in the 800 block of Market Street, police said.
One of the thieves reportedly punched the victim shortly before police arrived. Two of the girls were arrested, but the third fled.

Security guard stabbed in foot at club; one arrested
A nightclub security guard was slashed in his foot early Tuesday morning by a rowdy customer in the Excelsior neighborhood, police Officer Albie Esparza said.
A 27-year-old San Francisco man was reportedly becoming belligerent at the club in the 4700 block of Mission Street just after midnight, Esparza said. The man’s friends tried to calm him down, to no avail.
