As prolific as he’s been in his career, the Raiders’ Carson Palmer is on an unparalleled pace for him.
Palmer is on track to join 2002 NFL MVP Rich Gannon as the only quarterbacks in franchise history to eclipse the 4,600-yard mark in a single season. Gannon passed for 4,689 yards during the ’02 season when he led Oakland to its first Super Bowl appearance in nearly two decades. Read More
Raiders coach Dennis Allen likes the production his team is getting out of the no-huddle offense.
The Raiders scored two touchdowns and a field goal running the no-huddle against Jacksonville on Sunday, when they overcame a 14-point deficit in the third quarter and went on to beat the Jaguars in overtime 26-23.

Dennis Allen has seen improvement on just about every part of his team. With only one win in five games, the Raiders rookie coach realizes it’s not enough.

“Obviously, we didn’t start the season out like we hoped,” said the 39-year-old Allen, the league’s youngest head coach. “We’re not where we want to be right now.” Read More
Quarterback Carson Palmer is convinced the Raiders are doing the right thing by sticking with the running game, even though they have the worst ground game in the NFL this season.

Carson Palmer brings an AFC North rivalry to the West Coast on Sunday when the Raiders play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It’s doubtful Palmer will have any better understanding of an opposing defense than he does this week, given the 12 regular-season games since 2004 he has played against the Steelers while a member of the Cincinnati Bengals. Read More

With drama at a minimum as the Raiders officially opened training camp on Monday other than the unexpected resignation of assistant line coach Steve Wisniewski over the weekend, new coach Dennis Allen’s mission is to change the culture of an organization which hasn’t had a winning season in the last nine years, topping out at .500 in 2010 and 2011.
