Stanford, Cal softball teams eliminated from postseason

The Stanford and Cal softball teams have both have their fair share of success on the national stage over the years. But this season, neither will be playing in a super regional. Stanford fell 10-5 to Nebraska in the Lincoln Regional on Sunday, while Cal dropped a 3-1 game to host Michigan in the Ann Arbor Regional, ending both schools’ season. Top-ranked Cal off to hot start at NCAA regional

No. 1 Cal fired a school and course-record 23-under-par score of 265 in Thursday’s opening round at the NCAA Pullman Regional to take the lead after the first 18 holes of the 54-hole event hosted by Washington State. BERKELEY — Allen Crabbe has joined an exclusive Cal club that seems to be growing every March. The junior guard won Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year on Monday after leading the league in scoring.
