Two British tourists were reportedly robbed last weekend of their camera, cash, bank cards, driver’s licenses, phones and other items as they were walking just south of Cesar Chavez Street.
The female tourists, who said they were in town for only a short time, called police at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday and said they were walking in the 1500 block of York Street when the suspect approached, Ingleside Station police reported Wednesday. Read More

Great Britain and Germany are pulling all nonessential staff from their embassies in Yemen due to ongoing unrest there, officials said Thursday.
Also, the diplomats at the Yemen Embassy in the U.S. resigned from their posts, except the ambassador, “due to divisions over Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s response to the ongoing protests and riots,” a source close to the Embassy said. Read More
