Thugs steal bikes from Inner Sunset residence

Two thugs broke into a residence and stole two bikes in the Inner Sunset on Wednesday, cops said. The 55-year-old male resident of the 1300 block of 5th Avenue told cops he heard glass breaking downstairs around 8 p.m. and then called police, they said. The suspects fled with the bikes before police arrived. A hit-and-run collision involving a bicyclist and a car early Christmas morning put the bicyclist in a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and police are still searching for a suspect.
