A woman was shot after an argument in Bernal Heights on Wednesday, police Lt. Michael Andraychak said. The victim, who is in her 20s, was sitting in a Buick in the 900 block of Ellsworth Street about 10 a.m. when she became involved in an argument with another woman, Andraychak said. The second woman took off, but a man with a gun showed up shortly thereafter. He fired shots at the car, Andraychak said, and the victim was struck.

A man was robbed in the Western Addition on Tuesday, police said. The 24-year-old victim was near McAllister and Laguna streets about 6:25 p.m. when two men stepped out of a doorway, one holding a gun, and forced the victim to turn over his wallet and cellphone, police said. A woman was choked and robbed by four thugs early Wednesday in the Portola district, police said. The 23-year-old victim was near Harvard and Felton streets about 12:15 a.m. when the group snuck up behind her, choked her, and took her purse and book bag, police said. The crooks fled down Harvard Street in either a gray or green Honda or Toyota sedan, police said.

A man was stabbed in a robbery attempt in Bernal Heights on Tuesday, police said. The 18-year-old victim was walking near the intersection of Cortland Avenue and Elsie Street around 6 a.m. when a man in his 20s demanded the victim’s money, police said. The victim did not comply. The aggressive goon then attacked the victim, who fought him off only to be stabbed, police Officer Albie Esparza said. The knife-wielding goon fled on foot empty-handed, he said.

A man was critically wounded in Bernal Heights on Saturday while trying to flee gun-toting juveniles, police said.The 59-year-old victim was shot in the upper torso in the 500 block of Alemany Boulevard about 8:20 p.m. after refusing to hand over his property to the young crooks, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said.The suspects, described by police as young black men, fled on foot. The victim’s condition as of Monday afternoon was still critical, Fong said.
