A 24-year-old man who has filed to run for supervisor in San Francisco pleaded guilty Tuesday to threatening District Attorney George Gascón on Facebook.
Benjamin Castaneda pleaded guilty to two felony counts of attempting by threats to deter an executive officer from performing a lawful duty, and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of making criminal threats.
He is expected to be sentenced to three years’ probation when he returns to court Aug. 7. Read More

As California’s attorney general, she has made online dating sites agree to safety measures, wrestled $2.1 million dollars from Wal-Mart for overcharging customers, and is even going after Bernie Madoff’s estate.
