Two Bayview seniors refused to open the door for a stranger Monday, police said, but the heartless thug didn’t give them a choice.The vicious burglar kicked in the home’s front door, then assaulted and robbed the 71-year-old woman and 61-year-old man in a terrifying midday home invasion in the 3000 block of San Bruno Avenue, police Sgt. A man has been arrested in connection with Wednesday’s road rage shooting near Hunters Point, police said Monday.Police said the suspect, whose identity hasn’t been released, allegedly became enraged when the car he was driving was cut off by another vehicle on Third Street. He followed the vehicle until it stopped at a red light at Evans Avenue and Jennings Street, where he opened fire and struck a 21-year-old male passenger in the hip about 9 p.m., police said. Cops witnessed a gun-toting goon chase down two teenagers in the Bayview on Sunday, police said, before fleeing from pursuing officers. Police were on Fitzgerald Avenue near Griffith Street when they reportedly heard gunshots and saw two teenage boys run out from between buildings onto Fitzgerald. Cause of Bayview fire that displaced 30 unknown

The cause of a three-alarm fire that tore through a vacant home in the Bayview district late Saturday remains unknown, authorities said Sunday. The blaze spread to neighboring homes and displaced 30 residents.The fire at 1881 Oakdale Ave. began about 9:30 p.m., spreading to two-story homes on either side before it was extinguished about 90 minutes later, the Fire Department said. Bayview stabbing victim was retired merchant mariner

A retired merchant mariner was stabbed to death in broad daylight in the Bayview on Wednesday, the second homicide in the neighborhood in a 24-hour period, police said.Luther Robinson, 54, was found in the 1400 block of Mendell Avenue near the intersection of Palou Avenue and Third Street about 1 p.m., police Sgt.
