Bayview recycling center robbed at gunpoint

A recycling center located across the street from the Lowe’s home improvement center in the Bayview was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning, police said. A 21-year-old employee at Our Planet Recycling at 531 Bayshore Blvd. told police the crook had turned in a ticket for recycling just before 7:30 a.m. When the victim opened her register, police said, the suspect, a man in his 30s, pulled out a handgun and bag and demanded cash. A woman was injured in a drive-by shooting in the Bayview on Sunday, police said.The 40-year-old victim was sitting in a car with two men in the 2400 block of Griffith Street about 4 a.m. when a silver vehicle drove along side and opened fire, police said.Bullets struck the victim’s car and an apartment, police said. Man shot dead in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood identified

The San Francisco man who was fatally wounded in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood this morning has been identified, the Medical Examiner’s Office said. The victim, 22-year-old Dominic Scott, was reportedly shot about 8:24 a.m. when numerous residents heard gunfire and called police, local authorities said.
