A 75-year-old man suffered a fractured eyesocket during a cowardly robbery attack at a Bayview bus stop Thursday morning, police said.The elderly man was in stable condition Friday. Reports of domestic violence, child abuse up in San Francisco

In fiscal year 2007-08, there were 6,583 domestic-violence 911 calls and in fiscal year 2009-10 there were 7,311. More than half the calls were about a fight or dispute with no weapon involved, according to the 2010 Family Violence Comprehensive report, issued by The City’s family violence council. Teen sustains life-threatening injuries in Bayview shooting

A 17-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot Friday in the Bayview district, police said. The victim was sitting on a porch in the 1400 block of Shafter Street around 3:45 p.m. when two men in their 20s opened fire, cops said. The victim ran into the house and called 911. Man hospitalized after shooting in Bayview District

A man shot in the neck in San Francisco's Bayview District was hospitalized early this morning, police said. Officers responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Third Street and Palou Avenue at about 12:30 a.m., police said.  The victim was sitting in his car when three suspects approached the vehicle, police said.
