Man shot parking his car in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood

A man was shot after parking his car in the Bayview on Sunday, police said.The 42-year-old victim parked his car in the 100 block of Middle Point Road about 6:30 a.m. when multiple shots were fired, police said.A family member heard the shots and found the victim lying on the ground. The man was then taken to the hospital for his injuries, which included a gunshot wound to the chest and lower body, police said. The injuries were reportedly not life threatening. Read More

Barbecue sauce was the weapon of choice for burglars fleeing a Bayview district apartment Saturday morning, police said. A 31-year-old woman told police she was watching TV in her home in the first block of Cameron Way about 8:30 a.m. when she heard a noise. The victim then saw three unknown men in her apartment. Police responding to a call about a dog bite in the Bayview district last weekend encountered something even worse: a human. At 2:12 p.m. Sunday in the area of Underwood Avenue and Keith Street, a 55-year-old woman told cops, the most vicious dog in her neighborhood was actually her son’s friend, Terrell Wilson, 42, of San Francisco. Man shot to death in Bayview car last week identified

A man who was found fatally shot in a car in San Francisco's Bayview District last week has been identified by the medical examiner's office as 32-year-old Dwayne Tatum. The shooting was reported at 3:22 p.m. on March 18 in the 1300 block of Thomas Avenue. Tatum, a San Francisco resident, was found sitting in a car with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Read More
