18-year-old shot in arm in Bayview

A man was shot in the Bayview on Wednesday night, police said. The 18-year-old victim was reportedly shot in the shoulder about 9:15 p.m. in the Double Rock housing complex. Officers from a substation in the complex heard the shots and found the victim with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and arm, police said. A physical fight ended in a spray of bullets and left on man in critical condition Saturday night in the Bayview neighborhood.The shooting occurred just before midnight Saturday. Bayview flasher just ‘can’t help it’

He just couldn’t help it. Bayview police are investigating the case of a flasher who on Tuesday exposed himself to a woman. The 38-year-old victim was walking in the 2000 block of Jerrold Street when the creep walked across the street toward her, police said. As he approached, he dropped his drawers and exposed himself. Teen boy killed in shooting in Bayview

A teenage boy was killed and another teen and adult were injured in a shooting Friday night in the Bayview district, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said Monday. The victim was identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Jaquan Morton, 17, of San Francisco. Morton was with two other people in the 1200 block of Griffith Street near Palou Avenue about 8:46 p.m. when all three were fired upon by unknown gunmen, Fong said. Read More

Foreclosed properties could fall under nuisance law penalties

Owners of foreclosed properties in San Francisco, such as banks, are coming under fire for allowing some of those homes to fall into disrepair. Supervisor Malia Cohen, whose District 10 includes the Bayview, has introduced legislation that would subject foreclosed properties to The City’s nuisance law, which allows for court abatement injunctions and fines. Man arrested trying to sell SF State computers at pawn shop

San Francisco police reportedly arrested a man Monday morning who was at a pawn shop trying to sell two computers labeled as San Francisco State University property following a break-in at the school recently. The Humanities Building at SFSU was broken into over the weekend and two iMac computers were stolen, school spokeswoman Ellen Griffin said. Woman attacked with baby stroller while doing laundry in Bayview

A woman was attacked with a baby stroller while she was doing laundry in her Bayview apartment building Sunday, police said. Officers responded to the scene about 8 a.m. The 52-year-old victim told police she had been in a loud argument with her husband in her home in the 1800 block of Silver Street earlier in the morning that had disturbed her downstairs neighbor, police said. Plundering posses robs, assaults bicyclist

A bicyclist was assaulted and robbed in the mid-Market Street area early Monday morning, police said. The 24-year-old victim was riding his bike in the unit block of Sixth Street at 1:50 a.m. when he was attacked by three men and one woman, all in their 20s, police said. Carjacking trio wakes up, beats down sleeping man

A man who was asleep in his car was woken up and carjacked by three crooks in the Bayview on Sunday, police said. The 42-year-old victim was parked in the 1200 block of Lane Street about 3 a.m. when one of the crooks opened the door, pulled the victim out and began punching him, police said.
