A recycling center located across the street from the Lowe’s home improvement center in the Bayview was robbed at gunpoint Saturday morning, police said.
A 21-year-old employee at Our Planet Recycling at 531 Bayshore Blvd. told police the crook had turned in a ticket for recycling just before 7:30 a.m. When the victim opened her register, police said, the suspect, a man in his 30s, pulled out a handgun and bag and demanded cash. Read More
The security guard at a BevMo store in the Bayview district opened fire on a shoplifter who allegedly tried to run him over with his car Wednesday night, police said.
