The Bay School boys’ basketball team largely accomplished its main objective on Tuesday against Gateway by limiting the Gators’ standout frontcourt with a stingy 2-3 zone, but the Breakers couldn’t limit it on defense. Last-minute goal sends Bay to BCL Central title game

Every player dreams of hitting the last-minute shot to win the game. For Bay School senior Madeline Spolin, that dream came true in the Bay Counties League Central girls’ soccer semifinals Tuesday at Crocker Amazon. With the game tied 2-2 and time winding down, Bay’s Bayley McMillan broke free down the sideline and executed a crossing pass to Spolin, who sent the ball into the net to give Bay the lead in the 79th minute. Jay keeps Lick in game long enough for late surge

In the first half of Lick-Wilmerding’s nonleague game against Bay School in the Bay Area Conference Challenge on Saturday at Head-Royce School, the Tigers were ice-cold, except for one player. While the rest of the Tigers shot 1-for-14 from the floor in the half, senior guard Kishan Jay buoyed the offense with 12 of the team’s 14 points in the half, to keep Lick close enough to rally back from a 19-14 halftime deficit in a 47-41 win.
