An off-duty federal agent was injured in a gunfire exchange in Newark this morning, a police spokesman said. The shooting was reported at 5:53 a.m. in the area of Mayhews Landing Road and Bettencourt Street.“The federal agent had a confrontation where gunshots were exchanged in front of his residence,” police Cmdr. A woman with a small child in her car was arrested in San Leandro early Tuesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment after an officer saw her throw a tequila bottle out her car window, police said. A medical emergency at BART’s San Leandro station is causing delays of about 20 minutes this afternoon, a dispatcher said.The medical emergency was reported at 1:14 p.m. It has since been cleared from the station but is causing residual delays for trains headed to Richmond and Daly City, the dispatcher said at 1:40 p.m.
An ex-Golden State Warriors employee has sued Monta Ellis and the pro basketball team, saying the star guard sent her unwanted sexually explicit text messages, including a photo of male genitalia he claimed was his, and that team officials forced her out when she came forward.
