Four in custody for early morning robberies in Mission

Four men are under arrest for two robberies that occurred in the Mission District early Wednesday morning, according to police. The San Francisco Police Department arrested 20-year-old Hummad McCullen, of Oakland, 22-year-old Eddie Olmos, of Daly City, 19-year-old Joseph Miles Jr., of Berkeley, and 21-year-old Brandon Long of Los Angeles in connection with the robberies and assaults of two separate victims moments apart. San Francisco police are investigating a possible sexual assault behind a well-known Ocean Beach restaurant late Monday night. The incident happened just after 9 p.m. behind the Beach Chalet, located on the Great Highway at the edge of Golden Gate Park, according to police. Unruly BART rider had been cited earlier that day

The man who was videotaped getting smashed into a glass window at the West Oakland BART station Saturday was arrested earlier that day in Daly City and cited for allegedly assaulting another passenger. On Monday, a BART police commander responded to reports that the unruly man, identified as 37-year-old Michael Gibson, is mentally ill. His sister Lisa Gibson said that he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Read More

Muni worker suspected of punching teen released

A San Francisco Municipal Railway ticket agent arrested Thursday on suspicion of assaulting a teenage girl has been released from custody as the district attorney's office decides whether to charge him. Police arrested Muni employee Kenneth Valentine, 59, of Novato, in connection with an incident Thursday afternoon at the Embarcadero station. Read More

Teen to appear in court for assault on actor

A teenager charged in the assault and robbery of 18-year-old actor Christopher Borgzinner on a Muni bus is scheduled to appear in San Francisco Superior Court today for a preliminary hearing. Uluao Mase, 18, is being charged with robbery, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury and assault on a bus passenger in the Oct. 5 incident.
