A former Aragon High School water polo coach who admitted to having a sexual relationship with a player collapsed onto the courtroom floor Wednesday after being sentenced to two years in prison.
Joshua Tatro, 25, of El Granada partly ruined his chances of receiving probation following a statement he reportedly made blaming the student for being equally responsible for the inappropriate relationship.

After a brief absence, Aragon makes its return to the Central Coast Section Division II football playoffs and will host Sobrato on Saturday night.
"We’re extremely excited," Aragon coach Steve Sell said. "There’s a little less pressure. It’s bonus football."

Seven weeks ago, the Aragon High School girls’ soccer team walked off the pitch at San Mateo High School following a 1-0 loss to the Bearcats that dropped the Dons to 0-2-2 in league play.
The Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division title seemed out of reach, making the playoffs was in jeopardy and Aragon’s players were starting to point the finger of blame at any target they could find.
Back to the present and the Dons are 14-2-5 overall.

A host of players from area colleges were drafted on the second day of the baseball draft, but it was a prep star who was the highest local player drafted Tuesday.
Aragon High shortstop Sam Tuivailala was taken in the third round (No. 106 overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Tuivailala, who has committed to play at Fresno State next year, also pitched for Aragon.
