Computer and two phones stolen at gunpoint in robbery

Two young adults lost a computer and their cell phones after a gunpoint robbery in the South of Market district Thursday night, according to police. In the area of Fourth and Shipley streets around 11:50 p.m., the 19-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were robbed of an Apple MacBook Pro computer, as well as an iPhone and a Blackberry phone, police said. Apple retailer to open in Hillsdale Mall

San Mateo residents hunting for the newest Apple gadget soon won’t have to stray as far from their homes to buy one. Cupertino-based Apple is opening a store in Hillsdale Mall this weekend, according to the company.
