A hit-and-run collision involving a bicyclist and a car early Christmas morning put the bicyclist in a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and police are still searching for a suspect.
An unidentified 24-year-old man was riding west on 25th Street when a gray or silver four-door sedan traveling east on 25th turned north onto Bartlett Street and struck him about 12:20 a.m. Saturday, according to Police Department spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak.

Six people were sent to the hospital Thursday after a crash involving a UC San Francisco shuttle bus and two cars on Potrero Avenue.
About 11:18 a.m., a car traveling southbound on Potrero Avenue rear-ended another car at 22nd Street, according to police and fire officials. The second car then rammed into the shuttle bus from behind.

Service on the J-Church line has been restored after the light-rail train collided with a motorcycle Wednesday evening, but commuters can still expect some delays as trains try to get back on schedule.
Around 4:09 p.m., service on the J line was disrupted because of an accident between the train and a motorcycle at San Jose and San Juan avenues. The accident was cleared one hour later.
The motorcyclist refused medical attention, according to Muni officials.

A car struck a pedestrian in what appears to have been a non-fatal incident this evening in San Francisco, a police spokesman said.
Police responded to a 5:25 p.m. report that a pedestrian had been struck on the 400 block of Portola Drive, San Francisco police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.
Crews arrived on the scene at about 5:32 p.m. and took statements from witnesses, including a statement from the pedestrian who was struck, Andraychak said.

A 62-year-old bicyclist was struck by a car and killed while crossing a major thoroughfare in Atherton this morning, a police spokesman said.
At about 10:35 a.m., the Menlo Park Fire Protection District received numerous 911 calls reporting that a car had hit a man on a bicycle on southbound El Camino Real at Isabella Avenue, Atherton police Lt. Joe Wade said.
The victim, a resident of unincorporated Redwood City, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Imelda Torrente was hit while in the crosswalk on Market Street, an injury that forced the amputation of her right leg above the knee and the removal of her left foot at the ankle, according to a claim filed by Torrente’s attorneys.

A pedestrian was sent to San Francisco General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after being hit by a T-Third streetcar in Bayview-Hunters Point.
The Fire Department was called to Third Street and Williams Avenue at about 9:12 a.m. on reports of an injury accident.
Muni spokeswoman Kristen Holland said the incident, which is near a T-Third line stop, was cleared at about 10 a.m. Shuttles were running to transport passengers in the interim.

Just after 8:30 a.m., the cyclist fell off her bike near the intersection of Fifth and Market streets, according to Judson True, spokesman for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which oversees Muni.
