The case against two 21-year-old men who were accused of assaulting an older man with a bike lock at a Geary Boulevard bus stop has been discharged pending further investigation, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Samuel Broaddus of San Francisco and Raymond Sullivan of Berkeley were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the 2:30 a.m. Monday attack at the Fillmore Street bus stop.

Three would-be pickpockets had their plans foiled by undercover cops on a 38-Geary Muni bus Monday.

A police sergeant responding to a brawl involving 20 juveniles Wednesday was hospitalized after a boy allegedly beat him on a Muni bus, police said.
