No nationwide search for an administrator with actual transit experience was conducted.

Supervisor Scott Wiener not only voted for the AT&T giveaway, he also voted in favor of $57 million toward purchase of tunneling equipment for the unnecessary Central Subway. With any public development, we all know about the changing cost estimates and misinformation from politicians. In other words, it’s ridiculous.

I own the four Infinitel wireless stores in San Francisco and am disappointed by The City’s new cellphone ordinance that requires me to post and distribute materials on radio frequency energy. What makes bicycle riders in this city think that they are above the law? Every day, I see them either riding on sidewalks (even if there are bike lanes), running red lights, traveling the wrong way on one-way streets, ignoring stop signs and showing no regard for cars or pedestrians.

I was shocked at what I witnessed while passing by the Powell Street cable car turnaround shortly after 8 p.m. Monday. Many San Francisco police officers were there in riot gear. Some tourists were around, but the protest demonstrations against this month’s BART police shooting were finished.
