A crook whacked a man with a stick after he was already down in one of three thuggish robberies since Tuesday night, cops said.
The stick attack took place in the Tenderloin around 10 p.m., police said. A 34-year-old man was approached at Jones and O’Farrell streets by two suspects in their late 20s. One of robbers demanded money, but the victim refused. The robber punched the victim in the face and the second thief rifled through the victim’s pockets, cops said. Then the first robber hit the victim with a stick and the two hoodlums fled on foot.
Two hours earlier in Glen Park, two teenage thugs crept up behind a 29-year-old woman at the intersection of Lyell and Bosworth streets, cops said. One punk grabbed the woman’s cellphone. She struggled to maintain its possession but lost the battle, cops said.
At 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Divisadero Street, a man in his 20s robbed a 24-year-old woman of her purse, cops said. The woman also struggled to keep her purse, but was overcome, police said.
No arrest has been made in any of the incidents.
