Thief gets away with cell phone charger after armed hotel robbery

An armed robbery took place on the evening of Dec. 22 at a hotel on the 800 block of Howard Street in SoMa. The Intercontinental is the only hotel on that block.

According to SFPD, A 30-year-old man entered a hotel on the 800 block of Howard Street at 9:45 p.m., and asked a man there for his cell phone charger. Once in possession of it, the suspect walked out of the hotel and got into a car.

The victim followed him and asked for his phone charger back. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim, asking him to hand over everything he had. The victim tossed his money at the suspect and fled back inside the hotel. The suspect left the scene.
