A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the back after trying to protect his friend from being bullied near City College of San Francisco on Wednesday, according to police.
The 12:39 p.m. incident took place near CCSF’s main campus in the unit block of Phelan Avenue, said police.
A 15-year-old boy was allegedly bullying another teen when a fight broke out and the victim, who had stepped in to help his friend, was stabbed in the back with a pocket knife.
The 17-year-old victim was taken a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
The suspect, a 15-year-old, was arrested soon afterward.
