Teen injured in weekend shooting in the Bayview

A teenage boy was injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Saturday afternoon, police said.

The shooting occurred around 1:15 p.m. in the area of Third Street and Quesada Avenue, according to police.

The victim, 16, was standing in the street when he saw another young male in a sedan pull out a handgun and begin firing in his direction, police said.

The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a hospital, but is expected to survive his injuries.

No arrest has been made in the case, according to police.
