Teen driver hits minor in Sunset District collision, causes life-threatening injuries

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving after hitting a pedestrian on Friday afternoon in San Francisco’s Sunset District, according to police.

The collision was reported at 5:57 p.m. when the suspect was driving in the 1100 block of Taraval Street.

The victim, who is a minor, was taken to a hospital where he was treated for injuries that are considered life-threatening. Police did not specify his age.

The name of the 18-year-old driver was not immediately released by police.
