Infineon Raceway is playing host this weekend to the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma, where unpredictably has reigned supreme the past six years. Six different drivers have won here in the past six years, including last year’s winner Will Power, who has four wins on the season and currently sits in second place in the season-long points race, 47 points behind leader Dario Franchitti. Bay Area’s Allmendinger finds his footing in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

A.J. Allmendinger is back in the Bay Area, competing in today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Toyota-Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway and doing what he’s done all of his life: simply drive cars. Allmendinger grew up in Los Gatos always around a racetrack as he started off racing go-karts.
