Matt Florer threw the second no-hitter in Loyola Marymount history Tuesday night in a 5-0 victory over Cal State Northridge.
Florer (2-1), a senior left-hander, struck out a career-best five, walked five and hit a batter in the Lions' first no-hitter since Bob Seus tossed one against Long Beach State in 1980. Florer, from Mission Viejo, Calif., threw 134 pitches in his ninth career start and 14th appearance this season for Loyola Marymount (21-19).
