A man was shot during a home invasion robbery in Mission Terrace on Tuesday, police said.
Two men armed with handguns forced their way into a residence in the 200 block of San Juan Avenue about 10:40 a.m., police said. Two other men were inside. The crooks searched the place and made off with a cellphone, jewelry and cash, police said.
One victim was injured when one of the crooks fired his gun, grazing the victim. His injury was not life-threatening, police said. Read More
Crafty crooks posing as construction workers locked a 56-year-old Glen Park woman out of her own home Tuesday during a coordinated burglary, according to police.
About 10:50 a.m., the woman reportedly called police saying a man toting a handheld radio had knocked on her door in the 100 block of Charles Street, a residential area just west of San Jose Avenue.

Santa Rosa police on Tuesday arrested a Pacifica man suspected in an armed home invasion robbery Sunday evening.
Steven Andrew Chavez, 21, was arrested on a $120,000 warrant at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday at his home in the 400 block of Lynbrook Drive in Pacifica, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Steve Fraga said.
Inside the home, police found evidence that linked Chavez to the robbery, as well as marijuana believed to be for sale, Fraga said. Read More
A 40-year-old woman was woken up in her Sunset district apartment early Sunday morning by two men who fled by the time police arrived.
Police are investigating the crime and the motive behind it since nothing was stolen.
The break-in occurred around 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 1700 block of 27th Avenue, police Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.
