Shots fired at man standing outside Silver Terrace convenience store

A teenager is lucky to be alive after he was fired upon at a convenience store in the Silver Terrace neighborhood on Saturday, police said. The 19-year-old male victim was at the store in the 2400 block of San Bruno Avenue about 9:30 p.m. leaning against the counter when he heard several shots ring out, police said. Woman tries to steal San Francisco postal worker’s mail

Neither rain, nor sleet nor thugs. A postal worker was almost robbed of her mail near Hallidie Plaza on Friday, police said. The 49-year-old female civil servant’s letters were snatched out of her hand at Eddy and Mason streets about 12:20 p.m., police said. The victim gave chase and attempted to get the mail back but was pushed by the thief, described by police as a woman in her 20s, who fled with the mail to a nearby Muni bus. Read More

Man shot parking his car in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood

A man was shot after parking his car in the Bayview on Sunday, police said.The 42-year-old victim parked his car in the 100 block of Middle Point Road about 6:30 a.m. when multiple shots were fired, police said.A family member heard the shots and found the victim lying on the ground. A woman allegedly ran a red light and hit a San Francisco police car Sunday, injuring an officer in the South of Market neighborhood.The collision at the intersection of Fifth and Brannan streets occurred at about 2:45 p.m., police said. A heartless man was arrested on animal cruelty charges in the Bayview on Tuesday after police discovered the corpse of a dead pit bull puppy in the back seat of his car, police said. About 5:40 p.m., police pulled the man over for a traffic violation in the 200 block of Cameron Way, not far from Candlestick Park.
