A 74-year-old man was seriously wounded after being punched by a driver following a fender-bender in the parking lot of a Bayview McDonald's on Monday.

A fire in a single-room occupancy unit in the Bayview neighborhood displaced 23 people Saturday afternoon.
The fire broke out at about 3 p.m. Saturday at 5122 Third St., between Revere and Shafter avenues, in a room on the top floor of the three-story building, according to Assistant Fire Chief Dave Franklin.
The blaze shut down Muni service on Third Street for about an hour, while firefighters extinguished the fire, he said.
