SFO travelers face up to two-hour delay

Low cloud cover over San Francisco is causing significant delays at San Francisco International Airport on Monday afternoon, an airport duty manager said. Airport duty manager Larry Mares said that as of 3:15 p.m., almost all domestic arrivals and departures were facing delays from 30 minutes to two hours. All lanes have reopened on U.S. Highway 101 after a rollover crash earlier this morning blocked traffic in both directions near San Francisco International Airport.The crash was reported at 6:12 a.m. just south of Interstate Highway 380, California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Bartlett said.Preliminary information indicates that a northbound vehicle overturned and landed in southbound lanes, Bartlett said.No other vehicles appear to have been involved. Thanksgiving weekend to launch SFO to new heights

Buoyed by a strong showing this Thanksgiving, the San Francisco International Airport is on pace to serve a record number of passengers this year. From Friday to Nov. 27, about 1.2 million passengers are expected to fly in and out of SFO, a 4.5 percent increase from last year’s Thanksgiving total, according to Michael McCarron, the hub’s spokesman.
