In the first homicide of the year in The City, an unidentified man was cut down early Thursday on the squalid Sixth Street corridor, just yards from where a new police substation has been planned. New 6th Street park set to unveil Wednesday

The Department of Public Works will team up with Caltrans and various community organizations on Wednesday to unveil a new street park on Sixth Street. The new street park will be located on Sixth Street, between Brannan and Bluxome streets, and is part of an initiative to keep busy city gateways clean and green, according to DPW documents.
