A man who withdrew cash from an ATM at 16th and Mission streets early Thursday was forced by gun-toting goons to withdraw even more, police said.
About 2:25 a.m., police said, the 43-year-old man was approached by two suspects, a man and a woman who appeared to be in their mid-20s and demanded cash at gunpoint.
After the victim handed over his cash, the woman ordered him to withdraw more. He was not injured and no arrests have been reported, according to police. Read More
A thug threw a blanket over a 23-year-old woman’s head in order to steal her purse early Thursday in South of Market, police said.
About 1:40 a.m., police said, the man reportedly punched the woman multiple times after covering her head with the blanket in the 100 block of Bluxome Street, a narrow alleyway that runs parallel to Brannan Street.
The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said, but she lost her purse, wallet, MP3 player and personal documents. Read More
