When Steven “Eriq” Escalon’s family saw him at a cousin’s wedding in his hometown of Clovis on June 9, they had no idea it would be the last time.
Escalon, 28, was found dead in his San Francisco apartment four days later about 6:20 p.m. in a case police are investigating as a homicide.
Escalon’s family is hoping someone will come forward with new information about who killed him, his aunt Christina Saldivar said. Read More
The man killed early Tuesday evening in Diamond Heights has been identified as 28-year-old San Francisco resident Steven Escalon.
Escalon, who also went by Eriq, was found by police about 6:20 p.m. in the 5000 block of Diamond Heights Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Read More
A man was killed in Diamond Heights on Tuesday, police said.
The 27-year-old victim was found by cops on the 5000 block of Diamond Heights Boulevard about 6:20 p.m.
Authorities attempted to resuscitate the victim but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of Wednesday, there was no known suspect and the Medical Examiner’s Office would not identify the victim until his family was notified. Read More

A 52-year-old woman was startled by a would-be burglar, police said. She was in her bedroom when the creep walked in. He was apparently surprised to see someone home, so he fled. The woman locked her door and called 911.
