Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said Sunday his daughter Bella remains in the hospital with pneumonia but is recovering after a rough 36 hours.
Santorum spoke with Florida supporters by telephone from 3-year-old Bella's hospital room and said doctors hope she can go home in the next few days.

Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer were the maids of honor at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, where their Deep South drama "The Help" won them acting prizes and earned the trophy for overall cast performance.
Davis won as best actress and Spencer as supporting actress for "The Help," while Jean Dujardin was named best actor for the silent film "The Artist" and Christopher Plummer took the supporting-actor award for the father-son tale "Beginners."

Newt Gingrich says Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney "has a basic policy of carpet bombing his opponent" and that the "old establishment" in the party is trying to block Gingrich's path to nomination.

Novak Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal 5-7, 6-4, 2-6, 6-7 (5), 7-5 Sunday to win the Australian Open in the longest Grand Slam final in Open Era history.
The match, Djokovic's third straight Grand Slam win, lasted 5 hours, 53 minutes, which was also the longest singles match at the Australian Open.
Nadal lost his third straight Grand Slam final in the match that finished at 1:37 a.m. local time Monday at Rod Laver Arena.

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is canceling his Sunday morning campaign events and is spending time with his hospitalized daughter.
Santorum spokesman Hogan Gidley said Saturday night that the former Pennsylvania senator and his wife, Karen, were with 3-year-old Bella at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Gidley says Santorum plans to return to campaigning in Florida as soon as possible.
