18-year-old shot in arm in Bayview

A man was shot in the Bayview on Wednesday night, police said. The 18-year-old victim was reportedly shot in the shoulder about 9:15 p.m. in the Double Rock housing complex. Officers from a substation in the complex heard the shots and found the victim with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and arm, police said. Tripping during the Zazzle Bay to Breakers not only kept a man from reaching the finish line, but it landed him in jail.Daniel Frank, 21, of Santa Clara is facing serious charges after allegedly taking a hard drug, possibly LSD, during the zany 12-kilometer footrace. Fire causes $200,000 in damage at abandoned SF police station

A two-alarm fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a former police station in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood on Tuesday, a fire department spokeswoman said. The fire was reported at 1:06 p.m. at 2300 Third St., located on the southwest corner of Third and 20th streets. Second suspect arrested in Golden Gate Park slaying

Police announced the arrest Monday of a second man in connection with the slaying of Robert Musial, who was robbed and beaten to death April 27 with at least one skateboard in Golden Gate Park. Two people were injured in separate shootings early Sunday in North Beach and Potrero Hill, police said. The first incident occurred at 2:18 a.m. at Montgomery and Vallejo streets near Broadway. According to police, two groups of people shot at each other for unknown reasons. A man was hit in the leg, police Sgt. Michael Andraychak said. A woman has stepped forward with allegations that she was sexually assaulted while anesthetized by a man who is alleged to have run an illegal dermatology clinic in the Mission district. Prosecutors said Carlos Guzmangarza, 49, of San Francisco, impersonated a legally practicing Bay Area physician’s assistant named Carlos Guzman while operating an illegal dermatology practice, called Derma Clinic, in the 2500 block of Mission Street.
