Ice-cold attack with a frozen treat

That’s cold man. A woman was attacked with ice cream before her cellphone was pilfered in downtown San Francisco on Saturday, police said. The 23-year-old victim was in the 800 block of Market Street about 9:15 p.m. when a man and woman, aged 18 to 20, hit her with the ice cream, police said. The victim confronted the cold crooks and put her cellphone on a table. The male thief grabbed the phone and the duo fled on foot. There have been no arrests. Read More

Cellphone swipers take a shine to victim’s shoes

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning and left standing barefoot on a sidewalk, police said. The 44-year-old woman was walking in the first block of Pearl Street near Hayes Valley when two men approached with a gun and forced her to hand over her cellphone, wallet and shoes, police said. The two then fled, and no arrests had been made as of Wednesday. Read More

Robbery victim blasted by sugar, spice, pepper spray

A woman was pepper-sprayed and robbed in the Richmond district Monday, police said. The woman was walking home in the 3500 block of Anza Street about 1:30 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind by two teenage girls who pepper-sprayed the victim, grabbed her purse and fled, police said. Teenage boy snatches girl’s cellphone on bus

A teenage girl was robbed of her phone by a teenage boy on a Muni bus in the Mission district Monday, police said. The 16-year-old girl was on a 14-Mission bus at 20th Street and South Van Ness Avenue about 2 p.m. when a 15- to 17-year-old boy snatched her phone, police said. Man arrested trying to sell SF State computers at pawn shop

San Francisco police reportedly arrested a man Monday morning who was at a pawn shop trying to sell two computers labeled as San Francisco State University property following a break-in at the school recently. The Humanities Building at SFSU was broken into over the weekend and two iMac computers were stolen, school spokeswoman Ellen Griffin said. There was broken glass and damage to some windows and the room where the two computers were stolen. Read More

Callous crook in Bayview dog beating, puppy theft offers to sell pooches back

As if cruelly beating two adult dogs and stealing their young puppies wasn’t bad enough, a possible suspect in a Bayview burglary last week later called the victimized homeowner wanting to sell her own pups back to her, police said.Police are hoping a member of the public can help them track down whoever is responsible for the heartless crime.On Tuesday, someone broke into a home in the 100 block of Cameron Way between 9 a.m. and noon and ransacked the place, police said. An American man accused of killing a U.S. jewelry store owner, stealing $300,000 (€228,200) in diamonds and fleeing to Europe has been found dead in Spain.
