A three-alarm fire that burned a home in the Pacific Heights neighborhood Wednesday afternoon caused $1.7 million in damage, according to the Fire Department.
The fire was first reported at 10:50 a.m. at the residence at 2008 Vallejo St. Fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge said crews were on the scene minutes after receiving the reports of flames shooting from the top floor and attic of the three-story structure. The conflagration was contained about an hour later around 11:45 a.m.
