The 23-year-old victim was walking in the 800 block of McAllister Street about 9:15 p.m. when he heard gunshots, police said. He then realized he’d been shot in the arm.
A family member drove him to the hospital for treatment of his injury, which was not life-threatening, police said. There were no known suspects as of Thursday.

A man was critically injured after being stabbed during an argument in Cow Hollow, one of at least four stabbings in a two-hour period in San Francisco on Sunday. The 33-year-old man got into an argument with five people while walking in the 3100 block of Buchanan Street around 2 a.m., police said. He was stabbed in the abdomen before the suspects, described as Hispanic men in their 30s, fled. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.
