Authorities building case against S.F. man suspected in Lego scam

Metreon begins reopening in SOMA

Westfield announced Thursday that it has leased 100 percent of the renovated Metreon center in downtown San Francisco. Renovation of the AMC Theaters Metreon 16 is now complete, the City View event space is now open for business, and nine more stores will open this month, with an additional twelve to follow suit throughout the year. San Francisco Target store plans on track for October debut

San Francisco’s long-awaited Target store is expected to be open for business by October, with construction beginning in January.The Target is planned for the Metreon Center, in South of Market. Target will begin renovating the building’s interior this winter, after the property owner, the Westfield Group, completes its portion of the construction, Target spokeswoman Mya Walters said. Boy busted purse snatching at Daly City Target

This robber could be hiding out in a Bay Area middle school.Authorities say a boy between ages 10 and 12 snatched a purse from a 66-year-old woman in the parking lot behind a Target store in Daly City on Sunday.A witness heard the woman screaming for help around 2:45 p.m. and saw the boy running through the lot with a purse under his arm. The witness pulled up alongside the boy in his car and asked him if he really wanted to go to jail over a purse, police said. Read More

CHP officer pleads not guilty to stealing from Target store

A California Highway Patrol officer pleaded not guilty today in Solano County Superior Court to stealing electronics from a Vacaville Target store earlier this month.Shawn Hammonds, 36, of Vacaville, is charged with four counts of burglary with intent to commit grand or petty larceny. A preliminary hearing date will be set July 12.Hammonds was on leave for a non-job-related injury at the time of the alleged thefts, a CHP official said. Read More
