Illegal pot deal turns violent after price squabble

A pot buyer was beaten up for disputing the cost of the marijuana he illegally tried to purchase in the Upper Haight on Tuesday, police said. New bill could generate $1.4B yearly in marijuana taxes

A new bill introduced by a San Francisco state assemblyman could generate annually about $1.4 billion in revenue from taxing marijuana, officials said today.
