Man accused of DUI after Mission cop car collision

A man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in the Mission district Monday after he collided head-on with a police cruiser, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said. The 22-year-old suspect was driving at a high rate of speed westbound on 19th Street about 12:48 a.m. when he struck the cruiser near Mission Street. Man fleeing cops in San Francisco crashes into car, killing passenger and pedestrian

Two people, including a man walking into a corner store, were killed Tuesday morning after a driver who was fleeing police in the Mission district crashed his vehicle, police said. About 7:45 a.m., police said, officers responded to reports of shots fired from a black Chevrolet Impala at the Valencia Gardens housing projects near 14th and Guerrero streets.
