Three stooges kiss their freedom goodbye

Two women, ages 22 and 26, were beaten and held against their will by three hooligans in a Mission Street hotel early Thursday morning, police said. The women walked upon the three men, ages 25 to 36, in the hallway around 3 a.m., cops said. One of the hooligans attempted to kiss one of the victims and when her friend intervened to help, the brutes physically attacked them and prevented them from leaving the hotel, police said.   Read More

Two men battled with a box cutter and folding knife at a Thanksgiving party in the Mission district Thursday night, police said.The men were recovering at the hospital following the blade brawl near Mission and 18th streets around 10:30 p.m., police said.After an argument, a 26-year-old man slashed a 23-year-old man in the chin and left arm with a box cutter. Man shot dead at Mission and 17th streets

A man was shot dead on a Mission district sidewalk around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, police said.The man, who has yet to be identified, was killed in the area of Mission and 17th streets, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Cops are hunting two thugs who fled on foot after the brazen shooting. Man survives multiple gunshot wounds in Mission district

A man in his early 20s was shot multiple times in the Mission neighborhood this morning. Officers found a man had been hit outside multiple times in the 1000 block of Treat St. just before 3:30 a.m., though the shooting might have been closer to 24th and Folsom streets, said police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, said Esparza. Police have questioned some people, he said. Read More

Gun shop remains after permit OK’d

The City’s lone gun shop dodged a bullet Wednesday. Despite neighborhood objections, police gave conditional approval to renew a license for High Bridge Arms in the Mission district. Power outrage affects Muni, thousands in Mission

A brief power outage in the Mission District left 3,000 people without power and affected Muni's light rail for roughly 15 minutes, according to transit officials. The power outage was reported to PG&E just after 2 p.m., according to PG&E officials. It affected 3,000 people along the 15th Street corridor between Harrison and Market streets. The outage only lasted until 2:30 p.m., according to PG&E, but not before it affected Muni service. Read More

Police ask public for help locating missing 74-year-old man

Police are asking the community for help locating an at-risk 74-year-old man who walked out of his San Francisco home last month and has been missing ever since. Roger Lopez, who suffers from dementia and uses a walker, never returned home after he left his Mission District residence at approximately 10 a.m. on July 26, police said. Read More
