Phone swiped while texting

A 34-year-old woman was robbed while texting in the Mission district Wednesday night, police said.The woman was walking in the 3200 block of 24th Street around 7:30 p.m. when a 16-year-old Hispanic boy allegedly ran toward her and knocked the phone out of her hand, cops said. Cops collar suspect in Mission district killing

The death of a 32-year-old man in his Mission district apartment is being investigated as a homicide, and police have already nabbed a suspect. Police found Oliver Carter dead in his apartment in the 400 block of Valencia Street at 11:55 a.m. Monday. Three punks beat and robbed a 29-year-old man in the Mission district early Monday morning, cops said.The victim was near the intersection of Hoff and 16th streets around 12:40 a.m. when the hooligans put him in a chokehold, police said. They kicked him, searched his pockets and stole his cell phone and wallet, cops said. Responding officers managed to arrest one of the suspects at the scene. Police shoot person suspected of drinking, fighting in Garfield Square

A San Francisco police officer shot someone in the Mission district’s Garfield Park after trying to detain the suspect for drinking in public, police said. The officer and the suspect were both taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The officer was attempting to detain someone for drinking in the park at 26th Street and Treat Avenue at about 3:20 p.m., police Officer Albie Esparza said. Read More
