Four artists today unveiled their re-creation of a more than 200-year-old mural at an outdoor community market in San Francisco's Mission District.The original artwork was found hidden in Mission Dolores Church, San Francisco's oldest surviving structure, at 3321 16th St. In 2004, artist Ben Wood photographed the mural, which was created between 1791 and 1796 behind an altar. In 1797, a new altar was constructed and the mural became hidden.

A 13-year-old girl was robbed in a Mission district alleyway Wednesday, police said.
Two teen girls between ages 15 and 18 put the girl in a headlock, searched her and stole her cellphone and MP3 player in the 800 block of Treat Street, police said.
The 13-year-old was not injured in the attack.
The crooks fled, and there have been no arrests, police said.

A 45-year-old woman was robbed at knifepoint on a Muni bus last week, the San Francisco Police Department said.
Three thugs in their late teens or early 20s surrounded the woman as the Muni bus reached Mission Street and Geneva Avenue at around 1:15 p.m. on April 5.
They “battered” the victim before robbing her. One of the thugs pressed a knife to her stomach, while another snatched her purse police said.
