Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said Sunday his daughter Bella remains in the hospital with pneumonia but is recovering after a rough 36 hours.
Santorum spoke with Florida supporters by telephone from 3-year-old Bella's hospital room and said doctors hope she can go home in the next few days.

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is canceling his Sunday morning campaign events and is spending time with his hospitalized daughter.
Santorum spokesman Hogan Gidley said Saturday night that the former Pennsylvania senator and his wife, Karen, were with 3-year-old Bella at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Gidley says Santorum plans to return to campaigning in Florida as soon as possible.

A Yemeni military official says units loyal to embattled President Ali Abdullah Saleh have crushed a mutiny by Republican Guard troops in the capital demanding the ouster of their commander.
The official says an unspecified number of people were wounded when loyalist Guard units crushed the mutiny by the force's 4th Brigade outside Sanaa on Sunday.
He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with military rules.
